Tailored, face to face programs for kids, their parents, and educators

Our approach

Helping kids to navigate the online world safely is like teaching them to drive - It’s important they are provided with both education and practical skills to be conscious and effective drivers of their online experiences.

Education

Educating young people about the design of social media apps, and the impacts this can have on our brains and overall wellbeing.

Strategies

Implementing tools to empower young people to be conscious drivers of their social media use, with a focus on boosting their digital literacy and wellbeing.

Support

Facilitating safe environments for young people to have open discussions about their online experiences, and the avenues of how to seek help.

Our programs

Like Me Talk

The Like Me Talk introduces students to key concepts around how their technology is designed, and provide guidance on effective strategies to facilitate conscious social media use.

Like Me Talks typically run for 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for students to ask questions. All presentations are adapted to age and stage, sensitive to the typical experiences of given year groups.

Parent and Teacher Talks

Parents and teachers play a pivotal role in supporting young people to thrive, both in their online and offline worlds. These talks aim to empower these key figures with education around social media use in young people, the benefits and challenges they face, and guidance for helping young people use social media consciously, safely, and positively.

These talks can be delivered to parents or as professional development sessions for teachers.

Like Me Workshops

Delivered in class-sized groups, these workshops take a more in-depth look at the Like Me Talk concepts, providing a smaller, more personalised space for the students to critically reflect on the impacts social media has on them.

Students will unpack the costs and benefits of the apps they use, reflect on their values, and develop individual and collective action plans on how to implement digital wellbeing strategies and move forward with their values and digital citizenship at the forefront of their social media use.
